How to Cook Rice Spaghetti


Step 1

Place 6 quarts of water along with ½ teaspoon of salt in a pot and bring the water to a boil.


Step 2

Put up to 16 ounces of brown or white rice spaghetti into the boiling water. Both rice and wheat spaghetti require plenty of water when cooking in order to prevent sticking.


Step 3

Cook white rice spaghetti for 6 to 7 minutes and brown rice spaghetti for 9 to 10 minutes. Stir the noodles frequently while cooking.


Step 4

Taste the pasta to determine if it has reached a desired consistency; rice spaghetti is commonly enjoyed al dente, similar to wheat spaghetti.


Step 5

Drain the spaghetti in a colander and serve with your favorite sauce or topping


Tips and Warnings

Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil to the cooking water if your rice-pasta noodles are sticking to each other or to the pot. Try the brown-rice spaghetti instead of white if you prefer heartier pasta.
